Get your diary at the ready: CNHSS has published its programme of events through to October 2016. The packed programme once again reflects the diversity of the Society’s interests.
Walks are a prominent feature in this programme, making the most of the summer with trips including Queen’s Road Cemetery, Mole Valley, Riddlesdown, the Grand Union Canal, Reigate’s Colley Hill, and the industrial landscape of Purley Way. Visits include to the Shirley Windmill, Benjamin Franklin house, and a repeat visit to the Dennis Severs house in Spitalfields. Amongst the scheduled talks, we take in subjects as diverse as medieval pottery, palaeontology and the Cane Hill Asylum just before it was demolished.
