It is with the greatest regret that we announce that our Director Paul Sowan passed away on 4th June 2021.
Paul has been instrumental in the Society for over 50 years. He was twice President as well as fulfilling the roles of Company Secretary and Honorary Librarian & Archivist for many years.
It is an immense loss to our society and to those of us who knew him personally. He will be greatly missed.
An obituary is available here .

Monday 6th April 2020 was our 150th anniversary
Croydon Natural History & Scientific Society has been involved in the study of science, local history and natural history, particularly as it applies to the Croydon area, for 150 years.
Drawing on the heritage left by some distinguished past members, the Society continues to maintain a museum and library, issue publications including our Proceedings, and run a packed programme of talks, lectures, walks and seminars.
Events are open to non-members and we’d love to see you there.
